::::::::::::::::::::: party favor µcass ::::::::::::::::::::: this first of all releases on hapahaus records is an interactive experience for an outdated medium. the microcassette recorder has largely been replaced by solid-state equipment, but since our first release was a product of the 20th century, we decided it should pay homage to the origins of music recording, without which amateur sonic laboratory would not be able to produce anything even vaguely interesting. the tape is meant to be played on a multi-speed microcassette recorder whose speed the listener is encouraged to constantly change in order to liven up the listening experience. because the device is the epitome of portability, the recording is meant to be an accompaniment to the listener's environment. because of these two factors, the recording itself when taken alone is far less interesting than it is when, say, students in a large lecture hall are disturbed by a shrill squealing beat of inconstant speed. :::::::::::::::::::: the party favor was produced in a limited run of 50 copies, hand packaged and individually markered on the tape body. :::::::::::::::::::: despite the fact that the recording itself can be somewhat nerve-wracking without the ability to interact with it, it is nonetheless offered here for download. :::::::::::::::::::: DOWNLOAD (coming soon) :::::::::::::::::::: |
